If I had to pick a favorite piece of Pilates equipment I would have to say it is the Wunda Chair! Some of the most advanced and athletic Pilates exercises can be performed on the chair for a total body workout.
Another great aspect about the chair is that it offers a variety of movements appropriate for both beginners and clients with injuries. While working in a physical therapy office for 2 years, I often had clients use the chair to perform rehabilitative exercises. With consistent practice I was able to see improvement in their strength and mobility.

Today I am practicing the Prithvi Mudra during my 10min of seated meditation at the end of my morning self practice. This mudra is said to relieve the body from fatigue and to enhance strength and vitality. The tips of the thumb and ring finger touch while the other fingers are straight and relaxed. Try this mudra on your own and be sure to focus on your breath during meditation. Namaste.
My morning practice is more restorative today as I strained my hip a little and have to allow it to rest. It is important that we listen to and take care of our bodies.
I am also practicing the Gyan Mudra in my seated meditation which is said to relieve tension and create peace and calm. The tips of the thumb and index finger touch while the other fingers are straight and relaxed. Try it on your own and focus on your breath as you meditate. Namaste.
