Tropical Tumeric Smoothie Recipe



Turmeric is a plant that is ground into a spice commonly used in Indian and Thai curry dishes and to color foods like mustard and cheese. It is known as an anti-inflammatory and used to treat a variety of conditions including arthritis, heartburn, headache, stomach pain, colds, and liver and kidney problems. 

Although the warm, bitter flavor of turmeric goes well in spicy dishes, it can also be added to smoothies. Try my Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Recipe below which is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Enjoy!

– 2 chunks pineapple

– 1/2 banana

– 1/2 mango 

– 1/4 cup of oats

– 1 tsp turmeric powder

– 1 tsp cinnamon

– 1 tsp coconut oil

– 1 tsp ginger

– 1 tsp chia seeds

– 1 cup almond milk

– juice of 1/2 lemon

– 2 cubes of ice
