My 5 Favs (+5): Feb/March

Although my fit life includes lots of sweating on my yoga mat and in Pilates and fitness studios all over NYC, I always try to look my best by using the top beauty products on the market. Here are my 5 favorite (+5) picks for this month.

1 — Burt’s Bees Lip Shine in Whisper ($7)

I love to keep my lips moisturized with a natural gloss throughout the day. This gloss is enriched with apricot wax and sunflower seed oil which keeps my lips moist and has a shiny finish.

2 — Olive Oil Mud Soap by Sabon ($6.80)

Made with olive, coconut, and aromatic oils and herbs, this mud soap is gentle and nurturing for the skin. It contains Dead Sea mud which works as an antiseptic suitable especially for oily skin. After a full day of sweating I enjoy using this soap as it cleanses and moisturizes my skin.

3 — Khushi Spa Solid Body Butter ($16, 2.5 oz)

After my morning and evening showers, I apply this sweet smelling geranium and lavender body butter to keep my skin soft. Made with palm kernel oil, cocoa butter, Shea butter, and grape seed oil, this formula is good for nourishing dry skin while also enhancing relaxation with the scent of lavender.

4 — “That’s Hula-Rious!” Nail Color by OPI ($9.50)

I adore this pastel mint green nail color by OPI. From their Hawaii 2015 Collection, this shade is sure to make you feel like you are on a tropical island even when there is a snowstorm on the first day of Spring in NYC!

5 — Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush in Flushed ($13.99)

Photo ready is right as this blush created my lovely rosey cheeks in my latest fitness shoot.

6 — Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 in Warm Honey ($48)

Though I do not wear foundation on a daily basis it is always applied to my face for photo and video shoots. This foundation is great for my normal to oily skin and really creates a natural looking finish.

7 — Makeup Forever Super Matte Loose Powder ($28, 10g)

This ultra-fine, transparent powder is applied to my skin after the foundation to set my look. It is non-drying and appropriate for all skin types and keeps my face looking clean and clear on camera.

8 — Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette ($54)

This palette consists of 12 gorgeous bronze-hued neutral shadows that can look amazing on everyone. It is versatile because of the variety of textures including matte and glitter so can be used for the office, a night out with friends, and even a for photo shoot.

9 — Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Expresso ($25)

This best selling and award-winning eyeliner is a gel-based formula that goes on smoothly and precisely for a long-lasting wear. It can be worn both day and night (and for my recent photo shoot lol).

10 — CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara by LashBlast in Very Black ($7.99)

I wear mascara almost everyday and I like how this one adds volume without clumping. I apply 2 coats to my upper lashes and wear a neutral lip gloss for a simple look.
